The trick involves only using favicons in your bookmarks bar, so no words. Basically, what you get is a bookmark bar that fits a lot more bookmarks than before. To use this trick, simply save items in your bookmarks bar without names (just clear the name field). You will get a much cleaner bookmark bar that only has the favicons of various sites.
